Beyond the Camera Magazine

It is such an honor for any photographer to be asked to be featured in any way.  When Sarah, editor and founder of the new magazine, "Beyond the Camera Magazine", contacted me about showcasing a few of my senior portrait work for the first issue, I was thrilled.  Excited for the opportunity, and honored to be asked by such an amazing artist.  Sarah is the owner and photographer of Sarah Gardner Photography, and the author of, Art Beyond the Lens.  If you get the chance to take a peek at her work, you'll see why I have so much adoration for it--she truly has a way of making everything she touches beautiful.  So from the start, I knew the magazine was going to be good.  When I saw the finished product, good was an understatement -- I was blown away!  It is one of the most tastefully done photography magazine out there, filled with information and beautiful imagery!

When she decided to do an extension for the first issue, a Valentine's Lookbook Edition, featuring works from Elizabeth Messina, my favorite photographer, I knew I wanted to be a part of it!  Sarah wanted images that were romantic, which was right in my ally, so with that in mind, I took my daughter out for a quick thirty minutes shoot.  I crafted the wreath an hour before we headed out, and used props that I already owned.  Below are some of the images from the shoot that can be seen in the magazine.

I'm so proud to be a part of Sarah's project, and so happy for the success of the magazine.  I know this is just the beginning of something even greater!   If you have not flipped through the pages of this awe-inspiring magazine, I kid you not, you are missing out!  Beyond the Camera Magazine Issue 1, Valentine's Lookbook.
