Photography and Me

I've been asked many times, "What made you interested in getting into photography?"  My answer, "I've always been in love with the arts and it's many forms of expression."  As a child, I was pretty content with a few pieces of paper and a sharpened pencil.  I grew up winning contests and awards for my coloring, drawing, painting and writing.  None of the awards were prestigious, but I was proud nonetheless.  After the birth of my daughter, thirteen years ago, I found myself doing the things that I once enjoyed so much, much less.  That girl and her love for the arts, was pushed aside, but stayed lingering deep inside.  It is the thirst to express myself artistically that made me interested in the art of photography to begin with.  From drawing, painting to dancing; for me, photography seems to fit right in that territory.  It wasn't something that found me, but something I've always wanted to pursue, but was waiting for the right time.  When the timing was right, I seized the opportunity and went with it. It's been a year since I started shooting, and looking back at my work, and how far I've come, I'm quite prideful.  I'm exactly where I had hoped I would be a year ago.

Here are the images I posted last week, but decided to re-edit using my new computer.  Enjoy!
