Last year, I had an amazing senior season. I ended up having more seniors wanting sessions than sessions available! As previously stated, my photography is still very much part-time, therefore; I am only able to offer a few sessions a month. That is the schedule that works best for me, my family, and you as well. It’s obvious how it affects my life positively—happy kids, happy husband, and happy me makes for a happy home. But how does it affect you positively? By taking limited sessions I am able to maintain a high quality and am able to ensure a different look and feel to each pose, versus one edit for everything.
This year, to expand on my business, my senior sessions will be taken to a very different level. I am offering a whole different experience than I have in the past. In the spirit of consistently showcasing my unique take on photography and the creative boutique experience I love—customers will be treated to a one-of-a-kind experience. My seniors will not just walk away with a set of beautiful images and memories, but, their entire day will be a pampering, spa experience—complete with a make-up artist, hair stylist, and personal stylist in tow. Your very own entourage! It'll be a fun girl time of pampering before the session even begins!
So how did your personal entourage come to be? I decided to team up with a couple of my close friends and went in search for an MUA (make-up artist). Luckily, I didn't have to search too far. I found Amy while shooting a Quinceanera session a few months ago. Being a make-up artist myself for a few years, I just knew she was perfect for the job! Aside from her mad skills she's just the sweetest ever! Graduating with a psychology major and being born in the year of the snake in the Chinese zodiac means that I have good instincts and am adept at reading people (this also helps me extract the real you in my images)! Amy definitely has a good aura—she’s intelligent, sweet, and warm. What drew me most to her is her kind spirit. From the very beginning I had this image of a genuinely kind, caring and giving person—and that has not wavered once.
I'm so excited about this year and can't wait to see where this new friendship will lead.
Here's a little something about Amy…in her own words and through her eyes:
"Self expression and self confidence are very important to me. With a decade of experience as a make up artist, I have worked with an array of people and special events. I have direct experience creating a wide range of looks for people of all skin tones and skin types. Popular culture, nature, along with advancements in make up technology continue to propel my creativity in this amazing industry. Some of my strengths include my ability to listen, communicate and collaborate with clients to deliver their vision. I'm excited to work with you to prepare for your photography session. It's all about you looking and feeling your best!"
