Before and After

I love looking back at my old work and seeing images I took of my kids.  It's a bittersweet feeling to look back and see how much they've grown these past few years.  Here's a re-edit of an image I took of my son a couple of years ago, the day he turned 3.  He had so much fun exploring the natural habitat trails at the park.  No big parties, just us letting him enjoy his day doing what he loves. 

He's my little ball of energy...always so happy and playful, yet at the same time, tender and compassionate.  He sheds tears watching sad movies and cries when he sees others cry.  And when he hugs me, he closes his eyes, smiles, and holds on..oh how I love that.  I hope he never grows out of being the sweetheart he is.
